JOSHUA JAMES

VFX Artist

Joshua James is one of the most exciting new creative artists in Los Angeles. Leading global campaigns for W+K, Beats, Best Buy and Hyundai, JP recognized for his rare blend of craftsmanship and speed.

Joshua, who also goes by JP, was born to first generation parents from the Philippines. He was ingrained with the importance of determination from a very young age. A skateboard enthusiast, JP drew creative inspiration from Spike Jonze’s ‘Girl’, ‘Yeah Right’ and ‘Pretty Sweet’ skate videos, a curiosity propelled him to study VFX in college.

Shortly after graduating, JP took a job at renowned VFX studio, MPC, in Los Angeles. He has worked closely under the mentorship and guidance of TRAFIK Creative Partner, Claus Hansen, in which he developed a keen eye for beauty, automotive, and product work. JP quickly ascended the ranks at MPC, leading him to become one of the most requested lead artists on some their most creatively challenging projects.

JP’s work now speaks for itself. Best known for his calm demeanor, attention to detail and speed, JP’s name recognition in the industry is a testament to his life-long determination hard work.

JP has led a number of high-profile projects at Trafik, including W+K’s Brooklyn Nets ’10 Years in Brooklyn’ campaign directed by Andre D. Wagner, HP ‘GPS WTF’ directed by Spencer Riviera, Genesis ‘Electrified’ directed by Alice Gu, and VRBO ‘Good Surprises’ directed by thirtytwo.
