DANIEL DE VUE

Colorist

Daniel de Vue is one of the most distinctive and admired Colorists in the world.  His delicate, nuanced approach to color grading, creating moods by tapping into the softer, dreamier aspects of the image, has received international recognition and won multiple awards. Having previously worked for renowned studios BaconX, Glassworks and Primary, Daniel brings a visual eye and technical curiosity to every project.

Daniel has always had a passion for the arts – starting his career in post-production working closely with acclaimed filmmaker Lars Von Trier.  This experience, along with Daniel’s passion for photography, helped pull his attention to the importance of atmosphere and light in the moving image. Over the years, this has evolved into a keen eye for subtlety and expression that has become a trademark of his grading style.

Daniel’s frequent collaborators include some of the most influential filmmakers in the world, including prominent directors Lance Acord, Cole Webley, Georgia Hudson and Andreas Nilsson. Some of his recent highlights include Apple ‘The Chase’ directed by Lance Accord, for which Daniel was shortlisted at Cannes and AICP, the Nike Women’s World Cup campaign directed by Alaska and Fleur Fortune, Apple’s Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada directed by Los Perez, Nike’s 50th Anniversary ‘Seen It All’ directed by Spike Lee, and Pink’s latest music video ‘Trustfall’ directed by Georgia Hudson.

He has contributed his vision to global brand campaigns for Nike, Old Spice, Budweiser, Toyota, IKEA and Microsoft.
