ANDRE AREVALO

VFX Artist

VFX Supervisor and Flame Artist, Andre Arevalo, is one of the premiere visual effects artists in Los Angeles. Both uniquely creative and highly technical, Andre is distinguished by his artistic sensibilities, problem solving prowess, and obsession over the smallest of details. Andre has delivered some of the most complex projects at the highest level, and amassed a portfolio of clients that features renowned filmmakers, global brands and some of the biggest advertising agencies.

Andre started his career at Crush in Toronto, where his passion for the arts and learning new tools and techniques elevated him to a full-time Flame Artist. He spent 7x years at Crush, working across a wide variety of projects. In 2016, he was recruited to join Global VFX Studio MPC in Los Angeles, where he established himself as a creative leader, overseeing large teams on a number of award-winning projects.

Andre’s enthusiasm to push the boundary of what is achievable on every project has made him highly sought-after by clients. Andre is a frequent collaborator to brands such as Apple, Disney and Samsung. A selection of Andre’s work includes the AMC ‘We Make Movies Better’ project starring Nicole Kidman and directed by Jeff and Tim Cronenweth, Lorde’s ‘Green Light’ music video directed by Grant Singer, and Audible ‘Journey into Imagination’ directed by the Fridman Sisters.

Andre’s creative passion extends beyond his visual effects work. When he’s not working, he plays drums in a local cover band, and spends his free time skateboarding and snowboarding.
