Production Assistant

Job Description

The Production Assistant supports the day to day operations of our Color department, ensuring projects, studio logistics, and client services run smoothly. This role works closely with Production, Operations, and Marketing, providing administrative, technical, and on-site support across a variety of studio functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast paced post production environment.

This is a full-time, on-site position based at our studio in Santa Monica, CA.

The pay range for this full-time freelance/temp position is: $200-$250 per day, which is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and pursuant to the California Pay Transparency Law.

Responsibilities

Vault and Drive Management:

- Vault Management – CETA tracking and physical upkeep of vault, coordinate hard drive storage and organization.
- Working with Color Production to return drives to client, with proper asset details, when projects wrap (coordinate FedEx packaging + shipping, runs, etc.)
- Physical run/delivery and pickup of drives (in coordination with Operations)

Production:

- Build and email daily studio call sheet
- Assisting color production team with duties including but not limited to:
- Clearview session coverage when Producers are managing multiple projects.
- Support Producers to enter project invoices in CETA (when needed)
- Support Producers with Masters Collection (when needed)
- Assist Producers with client attendance (when needed)

Sales and Marketing Support:

- Operate Instagram account (still selection, credit choice for social postings)
- Newsletter management (edit copy, coordinate design, facilitate QC and output).
- The on-site production POC for catering at Agency screenings.
- Aid logistics w/ in-studio events.

Qualifications

- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-service mindset.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working collaboratively across Production, Operations, and Marketing teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Box and Google Workspace.
- Experience with post production workflows and management systems (such as CETA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media management, particularly Instagram, is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to perform local pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Previous experience in production, post-production, or media operations is preferred.
